Health drinks from the store or home made? Nothing beats the health benefits of freshly made drinks. The processing negates some of the quality, nutrients and vitamins in its production, so store bought health drinks no matter how good do not compare to fresh made drinks.
The tools you need can be as simple as a very modest blender. If you make your own drinks daily within a very short time the expense of a good quality blender will more than pay for itself.
Begin making your own health drink by blending raw vegetables or fruits. Remove the seeds from orange or grapefruit since they tend to have a very bitter after taste. Once you have selected your desired ingrediants vegie, and or fruit, water, salt, sugar and crushed or whole ice if your blender is a good one. Keep the pulp as it contains the core vitamins and minerals, you may even add more crushed ice when done for a stronger chill.
The essential vitamins and minerals happen to be partners with enzymes and co-enzymes. Without it, one cannot carry on at our best level because this is needed by the body to absorb, convert and digest the food and drinks we consume to provide energy.
While organically grown food is the best, if you happen to use any that isn’t you should peel off the upper layers because there may still be chemical residue. Even with organically grown produce, you can remove the outer skin of some like the orange, grapefruit, kiwis, papaya, and pineapple.
Stay from forcing the fruit or the vegetable down the mouth of the blender. Its so easy to cut your food into small pieces so everything fits even the other ingredients you will be using to make your drink.
If your creation ever becomes too thick add water, this will thin it out and make it more fluid.Also avoid waste by only preparing what you can drink within the day it is made weither its juice, shakes, or smothies. Take your time and discover the consistancey of more luiquid versus more pulp and ice and you will be able to go from juice, shake to smothie at will!
